Irrational Inner Conflict (Charity)

Standing.
Alone.
Not watched by a soul
Pretending.
Unknown.
All he has is a goal
No action, no plan
No heart in his hands

Convinced.
Sure.
No reason left to wait
Unexperienced.
Poor.
Procrastination in him innate
Sitting on his mind
Guts he cannot find

Holding.
Ignoring.
To love would be to live
Scolding.
Imploring.
Wishing for the heart to give
For strength to stand
on a limb - with heart in hand

It's all in his head
Convinced that it's right
Needing to trust and let it break
But scared, he hides instead
Can't give it all, not tonight
But love and true life, is at stake

But later, what a joy it will be
When he not only sees, but truly believes
When:

Standing.
Alone.
The Watcher sees unseen
Extending.
Known.
Finally on his knees
Arms lifted high and heart,
Offered with unclenched hands.
